HANNA MILLING

Hanna Milling is a researcher for peace and love. Her work explores how inner reconciliation, honest communication, and embodied connection give rise to a living culture of peace.

She holds a PhD in Cultural Studies and is an internationally known mediator and teacher of conflict resolution. Her work is grounded in many years of practice as a trauma and breath therapist, and in her training in Essence Work, where psychological depth meets spiritual inquiry.

Healing trauma, restoring connection to love, and remembering our embodied essence lie at the heart of her life’s work. She is deeply devoted to reconnecting humans with the mystery of life, the wisdom of the body, and the quiet truth beneath our stories. At the heart of her current work lies the healing of feminine wounds and the reweaving of sisterhood.

Hanna is co-founder of Authentic Love and the Peace Academy and Retreat Center Haus am See in Chorin, north of Berlin. There, she has been holding retreats for many years, creating spaces for the healing of love, sexuality, femininity, and the pain of separation. Shadow work is an essential thread running through both her personal journey and her professional work.

For more than twelve years, she has been exploring ways of building and living community – among humans, and in relationship with all beings. Rooted in Chorin, a nature reserve north of Berlin, she also lives part-time in Portugal and Costa Rica.

Again and again, life calls her to move toward collective trauma and taboo, and to stand for naming and owning the shadows that seek recognition. She understands this act of truth-telling as a gateway through which healing and peace can emerge.

Seven years ago, she created and published the taboo-breaking video #FromWomenToMen, which went viral, touched – and shook – many hearts.

Today, she is answering a new call: FromWomenToWomen.
